Advent Activities for the Family

Every year, our family looks forward to counting down the days to Christmas with a family activity advent calendar.  Instead of uncovering candy or trinkets each day, we find a new activity or outing related to the season.  I love that this gives us a way to celebrate and make memories together all December long.  I also cleverly sneak in some Christmas to-do’s here and there to satisfy my need to multitask.

This year I’ve put together a list of advent ideas to share with you, as well as a few links to some great bloggers who’ve inspired our advent activities over the years.  We don’t use all of these each year, but there are lots of options.  You can also grab free printable tags for your own advent calendar at the bottom of this post.
